ArchivalResource

George W. Bartholomew genealogical research, 1877-1885.

Primarily correspondence from William B. Trask of the New England Historic Genealogical Society, and Henry Dutch Lord, assisting Bristol, Connecticut, native Bartholomew trace his family history. George moved to Texas before he started his research and so relied on the assistance of others. Also includes correspondence with a researcher in England, information on the branch of the family that settled in Pennsylvania, and data on tangential families of Curtis, Rich and Smith. George used a numbering system on his letters, and instead of arranging them by date, the letters are now in order as he numbered them.
